Graduate Intern, Hood College

About Jack

Hi there, I’m Jack, and I am a graduate-level student at Hood College as I finish my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I have a background in residential treatment, where I worked for a number of years helping clients with a variety of diagnoses work toward their goals, often involving symptom management and reintegration into the community. My training is in Motivational Interviewing (MI), which helps clients find their inner purpose for creating change in their lives, and I am currently training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which helps clients face fear without engaging in compulsions or avoidance.

I would describe my “flavor” of therapy as person-centered, trauma-informed, and focused on building on clients’ strengths rather than highlighting weaknesses. My goal is to help you live your life to the fullest, achieve your goals, and be an overall happier and healthier human being. The game of life is a team sport, and we all need someone we can trust in our corner to both fully hear us out and challenge us to be our best selves.
