Shivonne Nixon, LGPC

My Story

Shivonne has been practicing mental health counseling since 2018 in the Caribbean and she is excited to extend her expertise to clients within Maryland. Shivonne is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland.

Shivonne takes an eclectic approach to counseling as she draws on techniques from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Grief Therapy to address various mental health concerns.

Shivonne sees therapy as a collaborative process and enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She has a particular interest in treating depression and anxiety as well as a growing interesting in treating trauma. Shivonne truly has a passion for helping others overcome their challenges in order to lead a more fulfilling life!
